SSEWC Chapter 13

Domineering Alpha CEO

The intense beam of a flashlight illuminated the two figures. He Heng and Wang Sanpang simultaneously halted their actions, shielding their eyes with their hands.

“What are you all doing?! Lift your hands and don’t move!” Not far away, a young policeman, holding a flashlight, shouted sternly at them.

He had been patrolling the area when he suddenly heard the sounds of a scuffle. Upon rushing over to investigate, he found himself face-to-face with the two streakers. Amazed, he then glanced in the direction of the commotion, witnessing He Heng’s shirtless “assault” in the live broadcast.

Consequently, the five of them were taken to the police station. After a round of questioning, the police clarified that He Heng’s actions against Li Dazhuang and his group were deemed as legitimate self-defense.

Afterward, he opened He Heng’s personal information and discovered that the occupation field surprisingly displayed “Tian Sheng Group CEO.” In that instant, the police officer was stunned.

Staring at the Alpha in front of him, whose lips were still cut from the recent scuffle and who had skillfully removed clothes just moments ago, the officer hesitated.

“Let’s just do the paperwork and let them go, but in the future, please refrain from casually undressing people on the streets,” he said with a tone of caution.

With these words, a lively atmosphere filled the station. Amidst the suppressed laughter of those present, He Heng walked out of the station with a composed expression.

Meanwhile, Li Dazhuang and his two companions were detained for causing trouble and provocation.

As they stepped out of the police station, Shi Shuang turned his head and stared at He Heng’s profile for a long time. Seeing the severe swelling on the Alpha’s lips, he felt a bit worried. Considering the chaotic situation earlier, he wondered if those people might have taken advantage of the confusion to cause harm elsewhere. Thus, he raised his head and asked:

“Did they hit you hard just now? Should we go to the hospital for a check-up?”

He Heng, observing Shi Shuang’s anxious demeanor, shook his head.

It seemed as if he had sustained much more serious injuries than he let on.

“Wasn’t it just a sneak attack, a little cut on the lips?”

“Yes,” he said, thinking about it. He Heng lowered his head, pretending to be serious, “We should hurry. I’m afraid if we wait a bit longer, the wound might just heal on its own.”

Seeing the other still standing there, he turned back to Shi Shuang and added, “I’m fine, go home.”

It took the two of them about ten minutes to walk from the police station to Shi Shuang’s residence in the garden community. Considering it wasn’t early to begin with, and the encounter with Li Dazhuang’s group had taken some time, they arrived home close to eleven o’clock.

Once back in their small apartment, He Heng saw the Omega hastily changing shoes. While running into the room, the Omega turned back and said, “Wait for a moment, I’ll apply some medicine for you.” Subsequently, he rummaged through cabinets to find the first aid kit.

The warm orange light in the living room was somewhat dim. Shi Shuang pulled He Heng to sit on the not-so-spacious sofa, turned on a small lamp on the coffee table, and dipped a cotton swab in iodine. In the moment his fingers touched the man’s chin, their gazes converged.

Shi Shuang felt as if a subtle electric current passed through his fingertips.

They hadn’t had much physical contact, making Shi Shuang unexpectedly nervous, and his gaze became somewhat constrained.

Just for applying medicine, just for applying medicine.

He repeated this sentence in his mind to distract himself.

Immediately, Shi Shuang reached out and tilted He Heng’s chin, making him turn his profile towards himself.

The Alpha’s features appeared even more profound in the warm orange light. Above the well-defined jawline were slightly pursed thin lips, and the bruise at the corner of his mouth did not diminish the harmony of his face; instead, it added a touch of three-dimensionality.

“It might sting a bit,” Shi Shuang warned him before applying the medicine.

He Heng dismissed it.

For such a small cut, how could it possibly hurt?

The next moment, as the iodine touched the wound, a slightly cool sensation mixed with a hint of stinging made He Heng couldn’t help but make a sharp intake of breath.

Shi Shuang slowed down his movements and looked up at him, “Does it hurt?”

What a joke. How could he be in pain?

“Not at all, it’s just—”

Another sharp intake of breath as the cotton swab touched the wound, causing a twitch at the corner of He Heng’s mouth.

“Doesn’t hurt, right?” Shi Shuang couldn’t help but lift the corner of his mouth, though his movements became even gentler.

Due to the application of the medicine, Omega leaned in front of He Heng. The distance between them suddenly narrowed to the point where He Heng could almost count each distinct long eyelash of the other. Shi Shuang’s delicate, porcelain-white skin appeared even softer in the warm orange light, and a faint smile played on his slightly upturned lips.

He Heng was momentarily stunned. He lowered his eyes, allowing the other to tilt his chin for the application of the medicine. He couldn’t help but softly retort, “I’m not in pain, just a little cut, nothing to worry about.”

“Hiss!”

Well, it did sting a bit.

After applying the medicine, Shi Shuang put away the first aid kit. Only then did he belatedly recall that the other had probably been in a meeting until late, rushed to the cemetery to pick him up after work, and then brought him back to this small apartment. They had been dealing with the situation until past eleven, and He Heng hadn’t eaten anything.

Seizing the opportunity while He Heng went to take a shower, Shi Shuang hurried to the kitchen to prepare something to eat.

There weren’t many ingredients in the fridge, just a few eggs and some noodles.

When Shi Shuang was younger, the household had cooks and housekeepers, so he never had to cook for himself. After entering university, he mostly ate in the cafeteria, so one could say his experience in the kitchen was almost non-existent.

He stared at the limited ingredients, lost in thought.

When He Heng finished his shower, he caught a whiff of a delightful aroma wafting from the living room.

“I made some noodles; come and have something to eat,” Shi Shuang said, walking out of the kitchen with two pairs of chopsticks.

“Okay.” He Heng followed him to the table in the living room. On it were two bowls of clear noodle soup, and the bowl with the fried egg was pushed in front of him.

The egg looked well-cooked, with a light brown crispy edge and a slightly toasted golden yellow in the middle, very enticing.

He hadn’t expected Shi Shuang to cook.

However, He Heng glanced at the somewhat empty bowl in front of Shi Shuang and asked in confusion, “Don’t you eat eggs?”

Recalling the two failed eggs he had ruined earlier, which were now lying in the trash bin, Shi Shuang felt hesitant to tell He Heng that this was the only egg he hadn’t messed up, which was why his own bowl lacked this fact.

After a moment’s hesitation, he shook his head.

Shi Shuang lowered his eyes slightly, and with a feigned casualness, he said, “I don’t like eating eggs.”

He Heng looked at Shi Shuang’s slender shoulders and delicate waist in the dim light. He pursed his lips.

Why is this Omega so picky? No wonder he’s so thin. Even though he has been taking care of him for so long, there’s still no flesh on his body.

Despite having the chef prepare a variety of dishes every day for a month, Shi Shuang hadn’t gained any weight. He must be picky.

Determined to fatten him up, He Heng used his chopsticks to pick up half of the egg and placed it in Shi Shuang’s bowl. “Don’t be picky.”

“Huh?” Shi Shuang didn’t immediately catch on. When he realized it was a misunderstanding about being picky, he could only softly say, “Oh,” and then meticulously picked up the egg, chewing it slowly with puffed-up cheeks.

Really looks like a little squirrel,

Watching Shi Shuang eat, He Heng subconsciously curved the corner of his mouth.

After finishing dinner and getting ready for bed, it was almost midnight. He Heng skillfully walked toward the sofa with a blanket, contemplating whether to put his legs outside or his head outside.

“The sofa is too small. Do you want to come in and sleep?”

Shi Shuang, leaning against the door with a large soft pillow, after bathing, his black hair appeared soft and fluffy. He lowered his eyes slightly, silently looking at He Heng standing beside the sofa.

Looking at the Omega in front of him hugging a pillow that was almost half his height, He Heng’s breath halted.

Shi Shuang’s pointed chin rested on the soft pillow. His fair face revealed a faint blush, and his plump lips curved upward. His long eyelashes blinked, and a subtle strawberry scent lingered in the air.

Shi Shuang naturally possessed an alluring and captivating face, and combined with this expression, anyone would find it irresistible.

He Heng was on the verge of blurting out, “Sure.”

However, upon second thought,

Standing in front of him was an Omega,

He was an Omega,

And a very adorable Omega at that.

No, he couldn’t agree.

After repeated consideration, He Heng finally came to the following conclusion:

This must be a trap set by the system!

He then replied, “No, I just like sleeping on the sofa.”

996: [What does that have to do with me? Don’t involve me in your issues.]

“Hmm?” Shi Shuang looked a bit surprised, raising an eyebrow slightly. It was the first time he had heard someone say he had a liking for sleeping on the sofa.

He Heng lay down on the narrow sofa, only to realize that his legs couldn’t fit at all. Frustrated, he bent his long legs into an awkward position, stubbornly justifying himself, “I have a fear of beds. If I don’t sleep on the sofa, I can’t sleep.”

Although the reason he gave seemed a bit forced, Shi Shuang didn’t expose it.

“Okay,” he curved his lips, smiled, and bid He Heng a “good night.”

“Good night.” He Heng watched Shi Shuang’s figure as he walked into the room. He tried to stretch his legs but found that they couldn’t straighten, and he nearly toppled over.

Darn it,

This sofa is too small.

Covering himself with the blanket, closing his eyes, the image of Shi Shuang smiling at him inexplicably floated into his mind.

He’s really cute.

He Heng gripped the blanket, and suddenly, a thought popped into his head.

Next second, he furrowed his brows.

What are you thinking about?!

Sleep! Sleep! Sleep!

He Heng angrily covered his head with the blanket, trying to suffocate himself on this small sofa.
