WCG Chapter 22.1

Quietly (Part 1)

When Jiang Shi saw Xie Xu send the message calling him “Your Father Jiang”, his mind went numb.

He had just delivered a gift, so how did Xie Xu manage to recognize him after he changed his username?

Sensing Jiang Shi’s doubts, Xie Xu sent another message:

[TLG-Xu: You even blocked me back then.]

Jiang Shi: “…”

He spent ages scrolling through his block list before finally finding Xie Xu and unblocking him.

[I’m dying of laughter, this is such a complete fail.]

[Why isn’t Father Jiang pretending anymore?]

[Oh my God, I saw my own name in the blocklist. No wonder this little idiot didn’t reply to my private messages.]

[Me too, I even sent Time a bunch of cute little fanfics about him and Xu! I spent so much time writing them!]

Seeing this message, Jiang Shi instinctively glanced at the user’s ID, “18 Years Old Pure Female College Student? What kind of stories did you write?”

He specifically checked the block list again, and after unblocking the user, her private messages popped up.

#Compilation of Xu and Time’s Positions#

#Things That Happens Under the Table during Livestream#

#T Bao, Who is a Hand-con, Letting Xu Use His Hands to Help Him#

Seeing these explicit titles, Jiang Shi was stunned. After realizing what they were, he hastily closed the private messages, not only re-blocking the user but also questioning, “You did this on purpose, right?”

She must have known Xu was in the live room and set him up.

[Hahaha, the innocent persona has completely collapsed. He’s now a certified lsp1slang for “dirty/perverted old men”.]

[T Bao, stop pretending to be pure. It doesn’t suit you.]

[Have you noticed that whenever Xu shows up, T Bao’s IQ plummets? He even falls for that nonsense.]

[Not only that, after failing to pretend to be a good kid, he doesn’t dare to say a word to Xu. What a coward.]

In the live room, Jiang Shi and his fans were on the same wavelength, understanding each other’s thoughts. Usually, he would have picked up on the “18 Years Old Pure Female College Student” user’s bad intentions immediately.

After his fans pointed it out, Jiang Shi felt like he had brought his real-life emotions from interacting with Xie Xu into the live stream.

He reminded himself again—

He was Time now, and whatever he did had nothing to do with the Obedient Jiangjiang.

So, Jiang Shi directly invited Xu to join the game again, “Xu-ge, don’t listen to the nonsense in the live room. Let’s do a sweet duo queue~”

His final tone was so sugary that even Sun from the Lion Team would feel ashamed.

[Fck, Little Idiot, can you stop using your electric mic to act cute? It’s really grating.]

[I’m really convinced, he thinks he didn’t poison our ears enough, so he’s going to harm Xu.]

[After dropping the innocent act, you’re just letting loose now, huh?]

[Xu, run! If you join the game, this kid will definitely go crazy!]

Despite the audience’s strong objections, Xie Xu still agreed.

Jiang Shi quickly pressed start, not giving Xie Xu a moment to hesitate and run away to safety.

Jiang Shi had originally thought Xie Xu would find some excuse to decline, but surprisingly, he accepted. “Xu, did you see the comments and private messages my fans sent just now?”

[TLG-Xu: I was busy just now, didn’t see the screen.]

Jiang Shi thought, ‘No wonder.’ But at this point, he didn’t care about getting another “naughty” label.

Jiang Shi was relieved, but the fans in Xie Xu’s live room were puzzled.

[Xu didn’t see it? Even though the camera wasn’t on, I saw Xu’s mouse hover over those private messages for a while before moving away.]

[Jie, you’re not mistaken.]

[Maybe he didn’t want to embarrass the little streamer?]

[But the streamer doesn’t seem like the type to get embarrassed. I heard before that he wanted to kiss Xu and even sleep with him.]

[Really? And Xu still queues with him?]

Time’s fans were closely monitoring Xu’s side and immediately reported back to Jiang Shi.

“Huh? Xu saw it?” Jiang Shi blinked, “And he still queued with me?”

Jiang Shi checked the viewer list, confirmed he was still there, and shyly concluded, “Xu really loves me.”

[T Bao, I advise you not to get too arrogant. Xu’s wife fans might come after you, and then you’ll be the one crying!]

[It’s only because Xu is in your livestream that his fans are holding back. Just wait until your next solo stream. Good luck, hehe2“hehe” is usually a cheeky or snobbish (?i forgor the more apt description for this ngl) laughter.]

[You can be wild, but don’t check your private messages after the stream. Just mark them all as read. We won’t send you anything tonight.]

[When T Bao disappeared before, I had a conspiracy theory that TLG got him silenced.]

[You’re not the only one. I even messaged their official account asking for an explanation.]

[Family member above, you are really bold.]

[If anyone messes with T Bao, I’ll mess with them in return.]

Despite the teasing, Time’s fans genuinely hoped that their little digital pet3pet = someone loved by everyone wouldn’t get ruined by a moment of impulse

Because of Xu’s arrival, many more people flooded into Jiang Shi’s livestream, and the comments were scrolling by so fast that Jiang Shi didn’t pay much attention. He was busy circling around Xu’s The Cat.

[Team Chat] Time: Why don’t you get on me?

The chat erupted with “666” comments.

Xie Xu, who was hiding in the bushes to control vision, suddenly stepped out, exposing himself to the enemy. Whether it was a slip of the hand or something else, he was immediately targeted and lost more than half his health.

There was no way Jiang Shi would let Xu be bullied like that. He quickly flashed in and took down the enemy, making it look like Xu’s hero had intentionally acted as bait.

Jiang Shi typed in the game chat, but when Xu didn’t respond, he spoke up in his live stream: “We worked really well together just now.”

“So, why didn’t you get on me?”

His tone was innocent, as if completely unaware of the suggestive nature of his words.

The Cat character, which had been about to return to base to replenish health, paused and then stopped altogether, using its ultimate to attach itself to Jiang Shi’s character.

[Team Chat] Xu01: Didn’t have my ultimate just now.

Jiang Shi, seeing the little cat attached to his hero, was satisfied and turned off his mic.

Once Xu was by his side, Jiang Shi played aggressively, often taking on four opponents with just the two of them.

Even after a kill, he would use his mobility to dash over walls and escape with the injured cat, leaving his livestream audience on edge.

[Damn, I thought God Xu was a goner in that last fight.]

[God Xu is playing really well, but The Cat hero is naturally weak.]

[Every time Time sees The Cat low on health, he immediately draws the enemy’s fire to save him. If I met an AD like that in a game, I’d definitely be smitten…]

[Time is doing this on purpose, showing off his skills while flirting with Xu!]

Sure enough, while taking Xu back to base to heal, Jiang Shi spoke up, “Xu-ge, aren’t I awesome?”

[TLG-Xu: Stop calling me Xu-ge.]

Jiang Shi felt a little heartbroken seeing this rejection, but then Xie Xu sent another message.

[TLG-Xu: You are awesome.]

Jiang Shi was instantly appeased. “Then can I call you Gege?”

“Gege, Gege, Gege.”

His voice was almost syrupy.

[TLG-Xu: . ]

[Little Idiot, the way you say Gege is so sweet.]

[When he calls people ‘Dad,’ it’s like he’s at a funeral. I give up.]

[Strongly suggest T Bao uses this tone whenever he calls someone ‘Dad’ or ‘Auntie’ from now on.]

[T Bao never calls anyone else “Gege” in the livestream. He must really mean it with Xu.]

“We’re mutually chasing each other. How could it be fake?” Jiang Shi said as he chewed on his milk tea straw, tearing at the cup as he sipped, before asking Xie Xu, “Gege, what support will you play later? I’ll pick an AD that matches.”

[TLG-Xu: It’s late. I’m not playing anymore.]

Xie Xu’s fingers twitched as he typed, [And don’t say things like that, or call me Gege.] But he deleted that message before sending it.

[TLG-Xu: I’m logging off. Get some sleep.]

“Wait,” Jiang Shi quickly called out, “I still have some questions I’ve been holding in for a long time.”

Xie Xu hesitated for a moment before responding.

[TLG-Xu: Ask away.]

As soon as this message appeared, fans in both live streams became immediately alert, though for different reasons.

In Xu’s live stream:

[Ahhh! Ask when he’ll turn on his camera during a stream!]

[Business fans want to know if TLG has any new strategies for the upcoming season. I heard Lele mention everyone is practicing new heroes and tactics.]

[Xu, do you have any unique insights on the newly released heroes?]

[Get out of the way, let me ask! Who is TLG’s new ADC?]

Meanwhile, Time’s live stream was even more chaotic:

[Little Idiot, shut up!]

[I’m really impressed. Can you please bring your duo queue session to a perfect end?]

[Is there anyone next to Time? Please, someone shut him up!]

[Xu, don’t listen, run! Run now!]

Amid all the chaos in the chat, Jiang Shi decided to clear the screen with a single click. He cleared his throat, coughed a bit, and said, “I want to ask.”

“Do you like to sleep naked after taking a shower?”
