WCG Chapter 43.2

It has a lemon mint flavor. (Part 2)

In the second game, the Hurricane team finally banned Jiang Shi’s Senna and chose the marksman Chain, known as Little Senna.

Chain may not have as high an explosive power as Senna, but their late-game output ability is not weak and occasionally appears in competitive play.

[Tsk, tak, still not convinced?]

[I said, whether it’s Senna or Little Senna, they’re all gutter heroes. An has played a few times before. If it weren’t for Xu carrying him, he would probably have been beaten into pieces.]

[Where does An get his confidence? Does he think he can do it too after seeing Time perform?]

[This round, TLG just needs to pick any burst-type team-fighting marksman and follow Xu to play the early game rhythm, and they’ll win.]

[+1. I remember this AD is best at assassin-type AD.]

As the barrage of comments continued, Jiang Shi locked in his hero—

Miller, who An used in the previous game.

The venue fell silent for a moment, as if everyone could hear the sound of a slap hitting An’s face.

The next moment, the audience erupted.

This tit-for-tat momentum had not been seen in a long time.

The official livestream channel was even livelier.

[Fck, TLG’s new ADC is really crazy!]

[Is this turning the match into a childish personal vendetta?]

[Please don’t spread rumors. Which hero to pick isn’t solely up to Time. TLG’s coach is also watching from behind. He hasn’t said anything, yet you understand?]

[What do you mean by personal vendetta? If it weren’t for An’s betrayal, would TLG have lost so badly in the Summer Split? I think it’s good that the two teams don’t directly fight it out.]

[What about An? He didn’t perform well in the Summer Split, but who can guarantee that their state is always at its peak?]

[Are those who are speaking up for An blind? Is that a bad state? Even Meituan can’t even deliver as well as him :)]

[What’s this? Time’s Miller has an 89% win rate in solo queue. Just because you can’t play doesn’t mean others can’t, okay?]

[My silly son is a bit arrogant, but his strength is solid. Don’t compare those trash AD to him.]

Many people had already gone to screenshot Time’s national server Miller stats, turning them into memes to flood the screen.

The live broadcast was intense, and so was the scene. After the lineups were confirmed, the director very tactfully focused the camera on An.

An’s face was as dark as a pot bottom, his teeth clenched tight. Because he was gripping so hard, the contours of his face were faintly visible, showing that he was very angry.

“Guess what expression An has right now?” Jiang Lele provocatively said, “His eyes must be red with anger. If Little White Hair were in front of him, he’d probably throw a punch.”

Jiang Shi took a sip of the mineral water in front of him. “I’d punch back ten times.”

The warm water had been left out for too long and it had already cooled down. He only took a small sip before screwing the cap back on. He let out several coughs.

Yuan Yang, listening to their conversation, felt his heart race. He immediately greeted the staff, saying, “Sorry, the players are just joking! When broadcasting internal team voice chat, please cut this part out.”

After saying that, he warned the two on the mic, “Stop chatting nonsense.”

Zhao Jiu immediately shifted the topic. “An might’ve wronged Xiao Shi, but this time it’s just a coincidence.”

They’ve practiced this kind of lineup before. Jiang Lele plays a somewhat utility mage with insufficient magic damage, so Jiang Shi comes to fill in, which is quite fitting.

Jiang Shi nodded, looking innocent.

Jiang Lele said, “Don’t act innocent, you saw the other side picking Little Senna and directly said you wanted to play Miller, and the lineup hadn’t even been revealed yet!”

At this point, Yuan Yang suddenly glanced at Xie Xu.

TLG has always given Xu the priority pick. Originally, Xie Xu was still considering among several supports. After Jiang Shi spoke up, he quickly locked in his hero.

Yuan Yang combined the heroes already selected by both sides and finalized this lineup.

Thinking about it now, Xie Xu couldn’t be doing this on purpose, could he?

However, for whatever reason, this lineup was indeed suitable and easy to play against the opponent.

In this round, Wind no longer aggressively attacked the bottom lane, but instead, the jungler and support roamed together to help mid and invade the jungle, putting pressure on An.

But they clearly underestimated the solidity of TLG’s jungle and overestimated An’s capabilities.

Jiang Lele directly let the lane go to support the bottom lane.

“Ahhhh, Little White Hair, I’ve got him controlled. Hurry up!” Jiang Lele howled into the mic, “He still dares to look back at you, he simply doesn’t take this Little Uncle of yours seriously!”

After tower-diving An and taking the kill, Jiang Shi couldn’t help but turn down the volume on his headphones.

Jiang Lele’s voice was too loud.

At this moment, Xu and Back had already secured vision in the enemy’s blue jungle. Xu said, “Clear the lane and come to their jungle, the blue buff will refresh in ten seconds.”

Xie Xu was clearer than Wind’s jungler on the respawn times of every jungle monster. As a roamer, he not only protects his teammates but also establishes vision and memorizes the respawn times of the enemy’s jungle monsters, preparing for future invasions.

“Time is taking the blue, he uses a lot of MP.”

Hearing this, Jiang Shi didn’t even clear the last minion. He handed it over to Jiang Lele, and hurried to Xu’s side, not forgetting to turn the headphone volume back up.

For Xu, he was willing to endure the noise made by Jiang Lele.

Fifteen minutes later, Wind’s jungler had not eaten a single jungle monster. Every time he came to the jungle, not only was it empty, but he was also beaten up by the support and jungle who came out of nowhere.

At twenty-five minutes, Wind’s three lanes were all broken, and the economic gap was nearly ten thousand.

At thirty-five minutes, the crystal exploded.

TLG crushed Wind 2-0, securing victory in the first match.

The entire venue erupted in cheers, and TLG went to shake hands with Wind’s players amidst the audience’s applause.

On the way, Jiang Shi kept coughing. So he took out a throat lozenge from his team uniform and stuffed it into his mouth.

It was time for the two team players to shake hands. When it was Jiang Shi and An’s turn, Jiang Shi looked at the other party’s resentful eyes, pushed the candy to the side with the tip of his tongue, tilted his head slightly, and whispered, “Do you need a lesson on how to play Miller and Senna? I’ll give you a friendship discount, just 999 yuan. If you want, I’ll even send it to you. I guarantee that your skills will improve by leaps and bounds~”

An: “?”

He didn’t understand what Jiang Shi was saying at first, but he could see the subtle curve of the younger man’s lips. Suddenly, he remembered that before the game, he and his teammates mocked Jiang Shi for an accompanying player who sold lessons…

He was about to fight back, but Jiang Shi seemed to suddenly lose interest, “Forget it, I guess you won’t understand even if I show it to you.”

After saying that, he loosened his hand and wiped it on his pants. Then he trotted to catch up with Xie Xu in front of him, saying in a pointed manner. “Captain, wait for me.”

The other TLG players were packing up their equipment. Xie Xu looked at Jiang Shi, and said, “You are MVP, and you will follow the staff backstage for an interview later.”

Jiang Shi nodded.

Yuan Yang remembered something. His expression and tone got serious. “Answer the interviewer’s questions well, and don’t be sarcastic!”

Jiang Shi made an oh sound, obviously not listening carefully.

Yuan Yang had a headache. Before he could say anything, he suddenly found Jiang Lele running to the lounge. He immediately chased after him, whispering aggresively, “Jiang Lele, be steady. The fans can still see you!”

Their way out of the stage was close to the audience.

Jiang Shi subconsciously glanced down at the stage. The lights on the stage were too bright, and he could only see the stars of cheering sticks below.

However, he couldn’t see the fans clearly, but the people below could see him clearly, and they all shouted—

“Jiayou, T Bao!”

“You’re so handsome, little idiot!”

“Daddy loves you!”

Jiang Shi: “…”

Forget it, he had nothing to communicate with that group of unfilial sons.

Jiang Shi expressionlessly bit the hard candy in his mouth, reached into his pocket and took out another one. He stopped and lowered his head to the light source to find the serrations of the candy wrapper. Just as he was about to tear it open, Xie Xu’s voice came from the side, “We have an interview later, and we can’t talk with candy in our mouths.”

“But—” Jiang Shi reached out and handed the opened candy to Xie Xu to see, “I’ve opened it.”

“Then I’ll eat it quickly. This candy is very delicious. Don’t waste it.”

Jiang Shi wanted to make a quick decision and leave here with Xie Xu.

He stood here with others for a while, and his ears were almost blown away by the fans below.

They were all calling Xie Xu “husband”.

Oh, there were also his fans in the middle.

His fans have a really good lung capacity, and the names “Little White Hair” and “Little Idiot” stood out among the shouts.

Just as he was about to eat the candy, Xie Xu asked, “What flavor is it?”

Xie Xu was standing in front of him, leaning forward slightly. His shadow cast over Jiang Shi, who looked up to find himself eye-level with Xie Xu’s face. His sharp features were softened with a lazy, playful smile, maybe from the victory he’d just scored in the game, and his tone seemed to brush across Jiang Shi’s heart like a feather.

At this angle, all Jiang Shi had to do was lean up a bit to reach Xie Xu’s chin.

For a moment, the surrounding noise faded like a receding tide, leaving only the sound of his own heartbeat—

“Thump, thump.”

Quick and intense.

The talented ADC who was just showing off his prowess was now blushing like a fool.

“Uh—mint, I think.” Jiang Shi’s voice was half a beat slower than usual, and he lowered his head, trying to see if the wrapper had the flavor labeled on it.

Before he could spot it, Xie Xu said softly, “It’s lemon mint.”

Jiang Shi carefully tasted the flavor lingering in his mouth. “Oh, yeah.”

His tongue swirled the leftover fragments of candy in his mouth, then he looked up at Xie Xu. “Want one?”

Xie Xu’s gaze fell on his slightly flushed lips, staying there in silence for a moment.

Maybe it was because Jiang Shi had read some lewd jokes about “mouth-to-mouth candy feeding” last night, Jiang Shi’s mind immediately went into the gutter. He hurried to clarify, speaking quickly, “I didn’t mean the one in my mouth!”

He held out the candy in his hand, bringing it close to Xie Xu’s mouth, his head tilted up slightly, his ears tinged red. “I meant this one.”
