WTD Chapter 17

The "Evil Dragon" protects the Princess

She must be crazy.

How could she have such strange dreams…

Ji Lian raised her slightly trembling hand, covering her weary and bitter eyes with it.

What she knew was that her sister…

Although not particularly gentle and not adept at considering people’s feelings.

Solitary, independent, and unconventional.

But she shouldn’t harm the elf girl.

She shouldn’t…

However, immediately after, Ji Lian thought of another possibility, causing her already pallid complexion to turn even paler.

Perhaps her sister was simply indulging her own desires…

In the pleasures of the bed.

An inexperienced sister most likely wouldn’t consider the feelings of the elf girl.

She wouldn’t understand tender affection.

She would only relentlessly seek the pleasure of her first experience.

Yet, for the delicate and weak elf girl, this was an unbearable burden on her fragile body.

If it became too intense, it would turn into brutality, into “abuse”…

Her sister had a robust physique and vigorous energy.

The elf girl, on the other hand, was fragile, helpless, being bullied so harshly that she couldn’t even make a sound.

Only able to gasp and shed tears helplessly.

With such a pairing, Ji Lian, besides taking in a sharp breath, found herself unable to do anything.

Or rather, at this point, what was the point of maintaining a hypocritical facade?

Clearly, the tragedy of the elf girl was brewed by her own hands.

Clearly, she had pushed the elf girl into the abyss of deprivation with her own hands…

Yet, the essence of being human lay in the constantly conflicting and chaotic heart.

Devout saints could fall.

Dirty women could possess a pure and flawless soul.

Honest individuals could break promises in the next moment.

Deceivers could uphold their word until death.

Ji Lian was no exception.

Yes, she had harmed the elf girl.

But her compassion for the elf girl couldn’t be feigned.

How ironic.

Ji Lian closed her eyes, her once-unblinking gaze now sore and tinged with a reddish hue.

She slumped in place for a long time.

Perhaps she should think positively.

Absolve herself of blame, dispel that sense of guilt.

Because, in reality, the elf girl was her imprisoned slave!

A commodity without human rights, a mere possession.

If it weren’t for her purchase, if Ji Yu Su  hadn’t become her owner.

She would have been bought by someone else, becoming another person’s slave.

This was an unchangeable fact.

So, instead of leaving it to an unknown fate, allowing her to encounter a possibly better or more despicable and abhorrent owner.

Wouldn’t it be better for the elf girl to be here with her and Ji Yu Su?

Not to say it’s the best, but is it also a good outcome?

Yes.

That’s right.

Just like that.

Ji Lian tightened her lips, now pale due to worry, and gave a bitter smile.

It turned out that from childhood to now, she really hadn’t made much progress.

Always so adept at “self-deception.”

Deceiving herself that her father was just busy, that’s why he neglected her and her mother.

Deceiving herself that her sister was cold on the outside but gentle on the inside, not indifferent to her.

Deceiving herself…

But in reality, from the beginning to the end, she was that…

A bastard girl named “pitiful.”

Although evasion was shameful, it was quite effective.

Ji Lian, wearing a thin nightgown, walked alone to the living room and took a sip of water.

The water flowed into the girl’s throat, moistening her dried-up soul.

Under the calm moonlight and the dual effects of water, the girl’s mood finally stabilized.

She no longer harbored any doubts, believing that her sister… was the best destination for the elf girl.

And her sister would surely give her a beautiful name.

What would she be called?

Ji Lian couldn’t help but let her thoughts wander.

When she snapped back to reality, the smile at the corner of the girl’s lips froze, and her soul seemed to inexplicably sink.

Why was she even thinking about this?

This wasn’t her right; it belonged to the elf girl’s owner, Ji Lian’s respected sister, Ji Yu Su.

Even if this right had once been firmly held in Ji Lian’s hands, she personally relinquished it.

In a moment of reverie, that phrase echoed in Ji Lian’s mind once again.

“I hope my future self will not regret it.”

Because it was in the dead silence of the late night.

Even the smallest pebble tossed into the heart of the lake would create ripples that lasted endlessly.

Ji Lian lowered her gaze, staring at the night sky before her, yet seemingly looking at nothing.

The night grew late, but Ji Yu Su still had no inclination to sleep.

She calmly observed the elf girl, Sherya, who had curled up and fallen asleep in front of her.

Sherya, her only personal maid afterward.

Profound wine-red eyes seemed to harbor hidden fireworks dancing within.

 Sherya was unaware of this.

She was just… extremely tired, thoroughly exhausted.

Her delicate body was somewhat overwhelmed.

Therefore, she fell into a deep sleep on Ji Yu Su’s bed, not long after succumbing to Ji Yu Su’s lingering kisses.

If it weren’t for the elf girl’s breathing, Ji Yu Su might have considered the possibility of kissing her into shock.

Fortunately, she was fine, allowing Ji Yu Su’s slightly lifted heart to settle back down.

However, the elf girl’s actions undeniably dampened Ji Yu Su’s interest, causing her to show a displeased expression that was usually absent — or rather, had never been seen — from her cold and beautiful demeanor.

Clearly, she was an ice-cold beauty, as stunning as the moon, but at this unnoticed moment, she revealed a bit of adorable charm and cute look.

If someone familiar with Ji Yu Su witnessed this scene, their jaws would likely drop.

Should we say that the elf girl, Sherya, possessed a kind of enchantment that could captivate and transform people?

But Ji Yu Su probably didn’t consider this.

The reason Sherya chose to fall into a deep sleep might be an attempt to escape reality and hide in her dreams.

This way, she wouldn’t have to face the harsh reality of being ravished by Ji Yu Su, shattering her purity and unlocking various explicit scenes.

Regardless, Sherya assumed Ji Yu Su wouldn’t cherish and care for her.

Even if she fell asleep, the pain she should endure and the profound experiences she should face would still be waiting for her.

However, Sherya never considered the possibility that Ji Yu Su might indeed cherish her, even if she didn’t show it.

Was it possible that Ji Yu Su wasn’t as consumed by desires as Sherya thought?

Could it be that she was reluctant to disturb the elf girl’s sweet sleep, cherishing her innocent dreams?

Sherya never thought that Ji Yu Su might gently caress her brows, eyes, hair tips, and delicate ears as if handling a precious treasure, a flawless work of art.

Ji Yu Su would whisper almost inaudibly, “Good night, Sherya.”

Then, Ji Yu Su would lower her head and delicately taste Sherya’s vivid, water-cherry-like lips, stopping at a light touch.

Afterward, she would carefully tuck the girl into the blanket, adjusting her own position to match Sherya’s sleeping posture.

Ji Yu Su would then cradle Sherya in her arms.

Breathing steadily as she drifted off to sleep.

Guarding the elf girl like a dragon protecting its treasure or a princess in peaceful slumber.
