The chemistry tutoring continued. But there was a significant change in the teaching style.

Zhou Zhou put down his test paper as he blushed and said, “Could you please stop holding onto my waist?”

Behind them in the study room, a few scattered alphas were still seated. Cheng Che’s hand was calmly wrapped around Zhou Zhou’s waist. But it was shielded by the chair and the table. It was hidden from the view of others.

Cheng Che’s teasing was giving Zhou Zhou irregular heartbeats. It wasn’t just in such relatively secluded situations like this. Even during their usual walks through crowds, Cheng Che would occasionally get handsy.

If Cheng Che just hugged him like a buddy, that would be one thing. But Cheng Che had a penchant for waist-holding.

“Could you please control your hands?” Zhou Zhou couldn’t focus on answering the questions at all. Cheng Che’s almost clandestine antics were seriously affecting his concentration.

Cheng Che, seemingly oblivious, continued flipping through the book with one hand. The light from the window outlined his side profile beautifully. But Zhou Zhou now felt that no matter how handsome Cheng Che’s face was, it couldn’t hide the fact that he was being a bit inappropriate.

“What are you… Stop touching…” The hand on his waist became increasingly disobedient. Zhou Zhou’s breath became unsteady. At this moment, he really wanted to focus on studying. The college entrance exam’s natural sciences section was crucial, okay?

He thought Cheng Che would retract his hand. But instead, Cheng Che expressionlessly squeezed at his waist a few more times and said, “Why not? If I want to touch, I can just touch. I can’t help it.”

Such an innocent and straightforward reason!

“Aren’t you afraid at all?” Zhou Zhou questioned him in a hushed tone. “How come your mind, as a top student, is so unfocused?”

“It’s you who’s unfocused,” Cheng Che said without looking up from his book. “You used to be so close with Yu Yang every day. Why is it a problem now that it’s me?”

“Can it be the same?” Zhou Zhou blushed while scolding him, “I grew up with him. But with you, I’m…”

“With me, what?” Cheng Che turned to look at him.

Accustomed to Cheng Che’s side profile, Zhou Zhou forgot what he was about to say when Cheng Che suddenly turned his entire handsome face towards him.

“I-I…” He evaded Cheng Che’s gaze sheepishly as he hummed an answer, “We’re a couple.”

“Oh, we are a couple.” Cheng Che turned his head back to continue reading. “What kind of couple doesn’t allow touching? That won’t be much of a couple.”

“…” Zhou Zhou felt arguing with Cheng Che was like inviting more teasing. He decided to move away with his book and sit one seat apart from Cheng Che. He hoped to get some space to study in peace.

Cheng Che chuckled as he pushed the book towards Zhou Zhou. “I’ve marked the mistakes you made in the recent monthly exam paper. Memorise them.”

Zhou Zhou reached for the book. But Cheng Che pressed it down with his fingers, preventing him from taking it.

“Your mind as a tutor is too wicked,” Zhou Zhou said, attempting to pry Cheng Che’s fingers away. Instead, Cheng Che deftly pinched his palm.

“I’m giving you free tutoring. There should be something in return,” Cheng Che casually said. After playing with Zhou Zhou’s hand, he then turned his head back to read his book.

Zhou Zhou recalled how he persistently approached Cheng Che for tutoring back then. He was too young and naive, unaware that every gift fate presented had already been secretly priced by Cheng Che, the rogue.

The outcome of Zhou Zhou and Cheng Che sitting one seat apart was that when everyone went to dinner, Cheng Che hugged Zhou Zhou from behind. Cheng Che gently pulled down Zhou Zhou’s collar, kissed the scentful gland, and then licked it. Zhou Zhou’s whole body went limp. His legs couldn’t support him and he slid down. Cheng Che, holding him from behind, supported his waist. As if afraid Zhou Zhou’s reaction wasn’t strong enough, Cheng Che leaned down to his ear and whispered, “I want to mark you.”

Zhou Zhou’s hand, pressed against the door lock in the study room, suddenly lost strength. His neck and ears turned red. He pressed his forehead against the door and let out a low groan. He then whispered to himself, “Today is the 180th time Cheng Che talked dirty to me.”

“Hey, why is Cheng Che so strict with you? Are you guys dating or is he a prison guard overseeing a prisoner?” A few alphas sneaked behind the teaching building. Yu Yang leaned in next to Zhou Zhou and asked in a low voice.

“How should I know?” Zhou Zhou didn’t feel that Cheng Che was strict with him at all. He was just afraid that if he and Cheng Che got too close, others might figure things out.

“Tsk tsk.” Yu Yang sighed. “Even though he looks aloof, he’s still an alpha. Possessiveness is no small matter.”

In his mind, Zhou Zhou thought: You haven’t seen him acting like a rogue. It’s not about possessiveness. He’s just a thug!

A group of people squatted in the bushes, enjoying the omelette handed over the railing by the auntie from the snack stall. They were laughing and chatting, completely unaware of someone approaching from outside the bushes.

Zhou Zhou was still immersed in the banter among other alphas. He was completely oblivious. Suddenly, the collar of his school uniform was grabbed.

The alphas around them looked up.

When Cheng Che effortlessly lifted Zhou Zhou with one hand, Zhou Zhou was still foolishly laughing. He was engrossed in a joke another alpha had just shared, laughing so much that he couldn’t even hold onto his omelette properly. He was effortlessly lifted by Cheng Che like a little kitten.

He thought it was some latecomer alpha playing a joke on him until an alpha crouching on the ground called out, “Cheng Che? Are you here for the omelette too?”

Zhou Zhou nearly choked in surprise.

His laughter vanished. It was frozen on his face and the omelette in his hand trembled slightly.

Yu Yang silently bit into his omelette, remembering that Cheng Che had talked to him a couple of days ago. He told him not to let Zhou Zhou eat snacks anymore because his stomach wasn’t great and he might get sick.

Yu Yang had initially wanted to roll his eyes at that. Zhou Zhou’s stomach had been conditioned on a diet of spicy snacks and barbecue since he was a child. If it were really that bad, he wouldn’t have survived until now.

But Yu Yang held back. After all, in Cheng Che’s eyes, Zhou Zhou was like a precious treasure. Yu Yang felt that Cheng Che probably wished he could tie Zhou Zhou to his waist and take him everywhere.

In reality, Cheng Che didn’t think that much. He was just exceptionally good at mathematics and chemistry. He knew exactly what harmful substances were present in the oil and meat used at the snack stalls. He simply didn’t want Zhou Zhou to get sick from eating them.

“I won’t eat,” Cheng Che said. “I’m just here to take someone with me.”

Given the current situation, everyone could easily guess who Cheng Che was going to take away.

Zhou Zhou waved goodbye to them. His clear voice quivering in the wind. “Goodbye, everyone. Promise me that you guys will eat less junk food in the future. Even though the snacks at the stalls may be delicious, they can’t compare to the aroma of the cafeteria’s leftovers. Understand?”

His smile was so pure yet tinged with bitterness.
