Zhou Zhou couldn’t remember how many times he had taken a shower today. When Cheng Che carried him back to bed from the bathroom, his eyes couldn’t stay open. He just wanted to go to sleep.

“Are you hungry?” Cheng Che hugged Zhou Zhou on the bed as he played with his hair while asking.

Zhou Zhou suspected that whether he said he was hungry or not, Cheng Che would find a way to talk dirty again.

So Zhou Zhou chose to avoid the topic completely: “I’m very tired right now.”

“You haven’t done your English and chemistry homework yet,” Cheng Che said. He then thought for a moment, “Oh. And it also seems like there are still a few physics questions unfinished just now.”

“…,” Zhou Zhou dared not recall how he was ‘tutored’ by Cheng Che to solve the problems.

“I’ll do it tomorrow. I’ll just do it tomorrow.” Zhou Zhou blushed and shrank into the blanket, “I really want to take a nap now. So, be quiet for a while.”

“You got tired of me so soon?” Cheng Che said calmly, “You’re already satisfied that you’ve slept with me and now you no longer want me. Are all omegas as heartless as you?”

“!” Zhou Zhou emerged from the blanket. He reached out to cover Cheng Che’s mouth and threatened irritably, “If you say these messy things again, I’ll…”

Cheng Che raised an eyebrow, silently asking with his eyes: What will you do?

“I’ll…” Zhou Zhou couldn’t think of what he could do. He couldn’t win in a fight and he couldn’t win in an argument with Cheng Che. If he lost, he might end up being pressed on the bed to learn a lesson. No matter how he looked at it, none was a good outcome for himself.

“How come I didn’t realise you were this kind of person before…” Zhou Zhou, frustrated, let go of his hand and lay back on the bed. He said in distress, “You used to be so quiet and aloof.”

“Is this question really worth exploring? Because back then, I wasn’t your boyfriend yet,” Cheng Che pinched Zhou Zhou’s soft face like kneading clay, “So if I said those things before, it would be considered sexual harassment.”

After saying this, as if afraid he didn’t sound righteous enough, Cheng Che added sternly, “I do have boundaries.”

Zhou Zhou rolled his eyes, thinking that Cheng Che’s open or subtle harassment wasn’t exactly scarce even when they weren’t together. What boundaries? His boundaries were probably not as deep as the Mariana Trench.

“Oh really? I used to think you were asexual,” Zhou Zhou spoke the truth to what he felt back then. Cheng Che had this cold and restrained appearance. Zhou Zhou had a hard time imagining him as the person he was revealing himself to be now.

“Believe me, no alpha is asexual,” Cheng Che confidently concluded.

Heh, the lecher accuses others of lechery.

Of course, Zhou Zhou didn’t have the courage to confront him directly. He simply closed his eyes in silent disdain. He expressed his contempt for Cheng Che’s words in silence. He recalled an unverified saying: “People with high IQs tend to have dirty minds.”

Now it seemed to be true.

After sleeping for less than an hour, Zhou Zhou’s phone vibrated.

Cheng Che picked up Zhou Zhou’s phone and glanced at the screen. He then reached out to pinch Zhou Zhou’s face.

This time, Zhou Zhou wasn’t as soft and compliant. He furrowed his brows and opened his eyes with a fierce glare at Cheng Che. He displayed his morning grumpiness. He looked like a puppy whose bone had been taken away, almost baring his teeth.

“Your sister,” Cheng Che said, suspecting Zhou Zhou was about to bite someone any second. He shoved the phone in front of Zhou Zhou’s eyes, “Are you not gonna answer?”

Zhou Zhou focused on the phone screen and saw the contact name ‘Killer Qiao’. Panic swept over him like being chased by a rabid dog. He took the phone from Cheng Che and sat up. He took a moment to steady his breath and then warned Cheng Che in a hushed voice, “You better not make a sound!”

Cheng Che nonchalantly raised his chin to indicate that he understood.

“Hello? Sis, what’s up?” Zhou Zhou answered the call.

“What took you so long to pick up?” Zhou Qiao sat in the office, flipping through documents while asking.

Zhou Zhou quickly came up with an excuse, “Nothing. Nothing. I was doing homework and the phone was on vibrate. I didn’t hear it at once.”

“Cut the crap. At this hour, you just woke up from a nap, huh?” Zhou Qiao chuckled sarcastically.

No, I didn’t just wake up from a nap. I haven’t really woken up at all from a deep sleep.

“What’s the matter, anyway? If it’s nothing, I’ll hang up and get back to doing my homework.”

“Oh, nothing much. I just wanted to come back home tonight…”

“Ah!”

Zhou Qiao hadn’t finished speaking when she heard Zhou Zhou exclaim. She furrowed her brow and asked, “What’s wrong with you? Did you get bitten by a dog?”

Blushing, Zhou Zhou glared at Cheng Che beside him, who was currently pinching his waist with his fingers. He replied irritably, “Yes. Got bitten by a dog.”

“…”

Zhou Qiao was about to continue speaking when there was a knock on the office door. There was the sound of her assistant’s voice, “Manager, they said the project proposal needs further revisions.”

“Screw that!”

A string of low curses came from the other end of the phone, followed by the click of the call being hung up.

Zhou Zhou held the phone in his hand, feeling puzzled. What was the purpose of his sister’s call in the first place?

In the evening, Cheng Che and Zhou Zhou went out for dinner together. They strolled hand in hand on their way back home. When they reached the elevator, the one on the left had just closed while the one on the right was empty. So they got in.

“Are you not gonna do your homework?” Zhou Zhou stood in the elevator, looking up at Cheng Che.

“Our teachers assign homework early. I finished it at school yesterday,” Cheng Che replied.

“Ah, how come you have so much energy,” Zhou Zhou sighed.

“Which aspect are you referring to?” Cheng Che lowered his head and asked.

After a moment of consideration, Zhou Zhou realised Cheng Che was steering the conversation towards the dirty direction again.

He turned his head and said irritably, “In every aspect.”

“Oh.” Cheng Che pursed his lips. “Because I never drink cola.”

Zhou Zhou hadn’t figured out the connection between Cheng Che’s statement with drinking cola when the elevator doors opened.

At the same time, they heard a voice.

“Qiaoqiao… Qiaoqiao… We agreed that once you got the clothes, you’d come straight to my place. Why aren’t you keeping your word?”

Not noticing Cheng Che’s momentary look of surprise, Zhou Zhou, hearing the almost coquettish tone, was still marvelling at how sweet the voice of this omega from some other household was. Then, the next second, he heard an extremely irritable and familiar voice.

“Damn it. If you don’t let me go, I’ll finish you off today.”

Zhou Zhou couldn’t describe his current emotions. It was like encountering a dinosaur around the corner. His heart leapt into his throat. His legs went weak as he considered retreating back into the elevator. However, when he turned around, he found that the elevator doors had already closed. The owners of the two voices were pulling and tugging as they walked out of the other elevator.

Four pairs of eyes met and silence surrounded them. The air was still.

Cheng Che watched the guy, who was about to press his face into Zhou Qiao’s chest, with a slightly complicated expression.

His uncle is a professor in the chemistry department. He appeared cold and aloof. But in reality, he was a bit of an eccentric. Who would believe that if it were said aloud though?!

Cheng Yan straightened himself and adjusted his coat. He awkwardly cleared his throat as he raised a finger to touch his lips.

Zhou Qiao’s beautiful face lost all colour. Her gaze fixated on the intertwined fingers of Zhou Zhou and Cheng Che.

As for Zhou Zhou?

Zhou Zhou’s soul had already picked out a burial plot for itself.

I think I can salvage this… No, I no longer need salvation. Just let me die.
