On Thursday afternoon, after the third class, Zhou Zhou absentmindedly checked his phone and saw a message from an unfamiliar sender.
It was a picture of him and Cheng Che embracing in the self-study room.
Though it wasn’t too long ago, Zhou Zhou felt a bit lost in thoughts. At that time, he and Cheng Che weren’t together yet. He just jokingly asked Cheng Che for a hug.
This should have been a lovely and touching memory. But now, with the image sent by a third party from a voyeuristic perspective, Zhou Zhou felt like he had been hit on the head. His mind was a bit confused.
Zhou Zhou didn’t know how the other person got hold of his phone number. After pondering for three seconds, he asked: What do you mean by this?
At times like this, denying that the person in the picture is not himself wouldn’t make much sense. It’s better to directly understand the other person’s intentions.
The other person replied: I’m waiting for you at Time.
Time is a small coffee shop behind the school that Zhou Zhou has been to before. It has a quiet environment.
The next class was the senior high school’s running time. Zhou Zhou put away his phone and left the classroom. The seniors were busy studying. There weren’t many students playing around in the corridors. The teaching building was no longer as lively as it used to be.
He knocked on the office door and approached his class teacher’s desk, asking, “Teacher, can I please request for a leave note?”
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”
“No, it’s just that a family member is sick. My sister said she wants to take me to visit them.”
There is indeed such a situation. It involves a relative with whom Zhou Zhou doesn’t have a very close relationship. Due to health issues, this relative has been transferred to a hospital in this area for treatment. Therefore, Zhou Qiao decided to take Zhou Zhou to visit. However, they had agreed yesterday that Zhou Qiao would pick Zhou Zhou up after his evening self-study session. So, before entering the office, Zhou Zhou contacted Zhou Qiao. He told her that he wanted to leave before dinner and that he felt a bit unwell. So wanted to go home to take a shower and rest.
Zhou Qiao agreed without asking many questions. So when the class teacher contacted the parents, Zhou Qiao confirmed that Zhou Zhou needed to take leave.
Zhou Zhou went back to the classroom, packed his bag, and sent a WeChat message to Cheng Che, saying that Zhou Qiao would come early to pick him up, and he could go home directly after the evening self-study.
Cheng Che replied: Okay, I got it.

Zhou Zhou, holding the leave note, arrived at the school’s security office. The process for senior high school students to take leave is quite strict. They must first show the teacher-approved leave note, swipe their school card for attendance, and undergo facial recognition to record the departure time.
Zhou Zhou walked towards the small alley next to the school. He knew the person only wanted to meet him. So he didn’t tell Cheng Che. If Cheng Che knew, he definitely wouldn’t let Zhou Zhou go alone. However, Zhou Zhou had to come. He wanted to figure out who the person was and what their purpose was.
He soon found out that the person’s intention wasn’t to meet and talk with him and they didn’t even intend to show their face.
Before reaching the coffee shop, Zhou Zhou was intercepted by several external alphas.
These weren’t students. They had variously coloured hair, tattoos on their bodies, and looked like troublemakers.
Their faces bore lewd and disdainful smiles as they slowly cornered Zhou Zhou into a dead-end alley. In the corner, there were a few trash bins emitting a foul odour, with tiny insects buzzing around.
To Zhou Zhou, the individuals in front of him seemed more repulsive than the trash.
The leader was a tall and robust blond-haired guy, emitting a strong and pungent scent of pheromones that mixed with the stench from the trash bins. Zhou Zhou wrinkled his nose, nearly gagging at the combination.
Zhou Zhou knew that even if he shouted, it was unlikely anyone would come to his rescue. Fights were common here. People had become accustomed to it. As an omega, under the influence of such strong alpha pheromones, he could hardly muster any strengthto fight.
It was an unavoidable situation. Zhou Zhou hadn’t used a potent suppressant. Therefore, the impact of alpha pheromones on him was significant. Faced with Cheng Che’s pheromones, he could only feel affection and reliance. he even willingly indulged in their intensity. However, now, all Zhou Zhou wanted to do was vomit.
It was a physiological instinct. The intentionally threatening and provocative alpha pheromones were enough to evoke repulsion in any omega. When at school, other alphas adhered to the rules, keeping their pheromones in check. Zhou Zhou had never experienced such an intense pheromonal oppression.
The alphas facing him had no idea Zhou Zhou was an omega. Thus, from the beginning, they recklessly released their pheromones to intimidate him.
Zhou Zhou felt fortunate that they didn’t know he was an omega. Otherwise, the situation might be more than just intimidation. He was well aware of the fate that awaited an omega in the hands of such alphas.
Leaning against the dirty wall, he struggled to breathe, inhaling a nauseating mixture of odours. The alphas stared at him for a long time. Seeing this unexpectedly pretty little alpha with a pale face and bloodless lips, leaning against the wall with his head down, gasping for breath like a fish thrown ashore, they found amusement in it.
The blond-haired alpha sneered, “So, the alphas from the alpha training centre are this mediocre? Can’t even release pheromones. Could you probably be a beta?”
He reached out, pinching Zhou Zhou’s delicate neck and pressing it to the left, exposing an uncovered nape. Zhou Zhou was overwhelmed by the pheromones, struggling to breathe. He was completely powerless.
The alpha sneered, “So, there are glands. Looks like you’re not a beta. Truly an alpha with pheromones so weak it’s almost dead.”
Another alpha scrutinised Zhou Zhou’s face, licking his lips and saying with a smirk, “What a waste for this face not to be an omega.”
“Even if you’re not an omega, we can still try. Hahaha…”
“Let go,” Zhou Zhou gritted his teeth and spoke.
“Hey, still acting tough?” The blond-haired alpha pressed down on Zhou Zhou’s head. “Keep talking back and I’ll strip you naked. Believe it or not?”
As he spoke, Zhou Zhou swiftly reached for a beer bottle scattered nearby and smashed it down on the alpha’s head.
The bottle shattered and the blond-haired alpha fell to the ground, clutching his head and howling. Zhou Zhou grabbed another bottle. His face was still pale. But his eyes beneath the bangs were fiercely determined. He displayed a kind of pathological resolution.
“I told you to let go.” Zhou Zhou said coldly. He had a quarantine bracelet on his slender wrist, which he had quickly put on when the blond-haired alpha started speaking. It effectively blocked a portion of the alpha pheromones.
The quarantine bracelet was something Cheng Che had advised Zhou Zhou to carry with him, fearing that he might inadvertently be affected by other alpha pheromones, just in case.
Right now, Zhou Zhou really missed Cheng Che and longed to smell the minty sake pheromones on Cheng Che’s body.
The other two alphas hesitated for a moment before charging toward Zhou Zhou.
Zhou Zhou crouched down, hitting one of the alphas in the stomach with the bottle. He was about to find a gap to escape when his hand was caught by the other alpha. In terms of height, physique, and strength, Zhou Zhou was no match for them, especially when they were three against one.
The blond-haired alpha had already gotten up from the ground. Blood was streaming down his forehead. His expression was terrifyingly ferocious. He pinched Zhou Zhou’s neck, forcefully pressing him against the wall. The grip on Zhou Zhou’s throat was so tight that breathing became difficult. The air was filled with the stench of garbage and alpha pheromones, triggering Zhou Zhou’s nausea once again.
“Alright. You’re in a hurry to die, huh?” The blond-haired alpha approached Zhou Zhou. His pheromones intensified with his emotions, forcibly infiltrating Zhou Zhou’s nostrils.
Zhou Zhou had never felt so uncomfortable. Being strangled made breathing difficult and the only air he could inhale was filled with a nauseating odour. His hands were restrained by the other two alphas, rendering him completely immobile. His face turned a suffocating shade of red due to lack of oxygen.
“Big bro, stop the nonsense. Let’s take care of this somewhere else,” one of the alphas suggested.
“Not so fast!”
“And not so easy!” The blond-haired alpha spat on the ground. “Damn it, he dared to hit me. Take him away. I haven’t tried with an alpha yet. Let’s not let this face go to waste. I wanna see if he can be as tough later.”
The two alphas holding Zhou Zhou tightened their grip, preparing to take him elsewhere as instructed.
